So I'm more of a LEFT-brainer am I? Well there really isn't any preference for me since I'm ambidextrous. So I'm satisfied with either sides of my brain. I love you brain! Hehehe! I'm planning to actually sleep early tonight. I want to start waking up early. I don't like my habit of waking up during lunchtime. Michelle added an entry at 1:27 p.m. Comments?
Annoyed and Had About Enough... Monday, August 12, 2002 I cannot stress enough about annoyances in the new age of the internet. I was surfing some weblogs at Xanga and A LOT of it was written in alternating caps and their so-called "ghetto-ish" attitude. I understand that it's solely their choice about how they want to type but really, is there a point to it? Does "tAlKiNg LiKe ThIs" even prove a freaking point? All it tells me is that the person is probably just some kid who wants to look tough on the internet and is probably, to my standards, illiterate. Is there a reason why typing "out of" is so much harder than "outtah"? Or "den dat" instead of "then that"? Speaking with an "d accent", to me, is less attractive and very ugly to look at and read. To sum it all up, there's nothing "ghetto-like" about it even though the ones who do type like that want to believe it is. It's nothing but a pain in the ass for the reader. Balloon-filled and Ready To Burst! Sunday, August 11, 2002 I think me and my family has gone out to eat too many times. Today we went out to eat twice. It's good stuff, the Boston chicken with wedge fries were so good! Anyways I am so full and bloated! I'm about ready to burst. I cleaned my room a couple of days before and I must say that it's a good feeling to live in a good environment. My room has so much more space now that all my books are put away and my clothing are hung up in the closet. So neat and tidy. I will try to keep it this way for atleast a YEAR! Yes, I know. That's a big commitment but I'm willing to take the risk! Wish me luck :) So it's the eleventh... A part of me wants to go back to school. Mainly because I want to go on the school trips and stuff but also that it's such a big change from doing a lot of homework to no homework AT ALL, it's so weird not having things to do for once and it kind of scares me. I'm SURE I don't like homework, but I'm going to need to get past it sooner or later and why not sooner? It's just the overwhelming feeling of freedom and time, I really don't know what to do with it all. Until then, you'll probably hear me ranting about how I want summer vacation again in February. As I was saying about how much time I have this summer, I've been spending a lot of it watching movies. One of the most clever movies I've ever seen is The Usual Suspects. It's not really my kind of genre but definitely throws you off track. Take a bathroom break and you're lost. The ending, was unexpected (if you've never read a critic's review or comment on it) and I desperately tried to find the clues, but I couldn't! Anyways, I just thought it was an interesting and clever movie. Enough of my rambling for one day. Michelle added an entry at 07:32 p.m. Comments?
Free...dom! Sunday, August 11, 2002 Yes, another week has past. Violin lessons are done for the day. I'm free, I'm free! So I should be wearing Gap. Well, I don't really own much Gap clothing but I guess it's close enough to the clothes I usually wear. I added links at the side. I hope it looks good! I'm not in a big fat mood to type anything. I'll add something more interesting later. Michelle added an entry at 05:00 p.m. Comments?
Stayin' Alive! Friday, August 9, 2002 ![]() Omega rocks. And Yup, that's my foot. Well right now I'm just listening to music. Annie Lennox - Don't Let It Bring You Down The Who - Baba O'Riley Yes, right now I'm in an oldies mood. They're good songs. I just came home not too long ago from a restaurant. We wasted so much time there because there was a lot of people. But the thing that really pissed me off was that we had to wait 50 minutes for a seat. People that came later got seats but we didn't! It was so unfair because we were the earliest ones there. Somehow, I think the guy that gave out seatings was CORRUPT! Erm, I'm so out of it right now... Enjoying The Good Life. Monday, August 5, 2002 My luck just keeps getting better. Two days ago, I went to pick up my watch from the repair centre. My parent's were still unsatisfied with it because it was so ridiculous how you have to wear the watch all the fucking time. So we talked the manager and told her that the person who sold it to us never mentioned that the watch was automatic (added note that I lack knowledge of the styles of watches). So to my amazement, when all hope was down the drain, she agreed to exchange the watch for something of equal price. The next extraordinary event that happened left me in shock for like 2 whole seconds. She said that I could exchange for something that's 0! So I got a Bulova watch. It's worth 5. Add some tax and it's way past 0. (Added note that I did not have a receipt. oops!) We got a DVD player. FINALLY, I can enjoy the most entertaining movies with surround sound and without the fuzz of those darn videos. I finally watched American Beauty again. It lifted my spirits up (before the you know what if you watched it) because it was hilariously funny. I think Kevin Spacey did a great job. American Beauty is one of my favourite films and maybe, just maybe I'll get the DVD (if I have enough money). How could I possibly wake up for school if I can't even wake up at 10:00am in the morning anymore? Michelle added an entry at 12:25 a.m. Comments?
A Postcard! Friday, August 2, 2002 I'm so happy I just got a postcard from -J-! She's in Hong Kong right now, oh I wish I was there right now. Well that got me the inspiration to finish writing to the Japanese student I'm going to stay at. All I have to do now is put stamps and send it away! I'm planning to write to -J- too. I never got to get my watch. I miss it. I'll get it tomorrow. I just had to talk about mail today. So I'll add a more interesting entry some time in the not so distant future. Time Sure Goes By Fast... Friday, August 2, 2002 Wow, it's August already! I miss July :( Only 68 days till I go to Japan. That sounds longer than it really is. So I'm going in just more than 2 months. I'm so excited! One movie that just popped into my mind that I want to watch again is American Beauty. That movie was dramatic yet so comedic in dark ways, I guess. The movie was good but I saw it so long ago [some scenes were inappropriate for my eyeballs to see]. If I see it again, I'll enjoy it just as much [the inappropriate scenes are still "inappropriate" for my eyeballs"]. I know that 88% of this entry did not make sense at all knowing that I'm typing this at 3:48am. My brain no work overtime. Yes, I'm feeling a bit drowsy and tomorrow I have to pick up my watch from the repair centre. Michelle added an entry at 03:43 a.m. Comments?
Bad Me! Tuesday, July 30, 2002 Uh oh! I haven't been practicing my violin for 2 days already. Bad me! I guess I've more fun things to do. My vibrato is sounding better now. Last week, it was so hard to practice because my violin was so out of tune and I didn't want to mess with it because of my last bad experience with tuning by myself (I broke my D String). And I'm not going to cough up three dollars for a piece of string again. Me and my mom went to Metro today. We didn't buy anything. But now I figured out what I want for back to school. Nice light beige-brownish corduroy flares. I like the Mavi ones in Aritzia but they're a whopping 88 dollars. Plus, my sister has a pair, maybe I can sneak it out at certain times. ;) Today we had pizza for dinner. Mmmm pizza. I had 4 pieces and I am full as can be. It took me a long time to finish the last piece. I must say that the Mole II is quite an interesting show. I don't know if anyone else has seen it or likes it but I think that gameshow really takes courage and endurance to go through challenges that they do. Hehe, maybe one day I'll participate in such a show. And maybe I'll be the mole! Well I guess that's all that I did today. ps. For some reason, the prices couldn't show up, so I had to put "three dollars". Weird eh? Michelle added an entry at 11:25 p.m. Comments?
Fun, Fun, Fun! Monday, July 29, 2002 Well today was a good day. I went to the Grind to meet up with Maddie and we got italian sodas from there. We then caught the bus to go to Oakridge and decided to sit on the benches inside and watch people walk past. It's amazing how many funny things you can see when you just sit there and watch people. It was almost till the movie so we stood in the long lineup to buy our tickets where we bumped into some of the grade 10 minis. I like the gr.10's probably out of all the grades in the mini because they're almost always together (no large or obvious cliques). The Austin Powers movie was hilarious. I loved it! Of course, it's no Oscar material but it sure had some good laughs and twists. I loved the cameos. I thought the 3rd installment was the best out of all of them. It was great to hear an honourable mention of the name "Roboto". Good times, good fun. Adios amigos! Michelle added an entry at 10:53 p.m. Comments?
Going soon. Monday, July 29, 2002 Well I'm getting ready to go out. As I said yesterday, going to the Coffee shop and to watch a movie. My hands smell soapy from washing the dishes. This is such a short entry, I'll tell more when I come back. Michelle added an entry at 02:17 p.m. Comments?
New Weblog! Sunday, July 28, 2002 I just created a new weblog! It's looking pretty good to me. I decided to make a new account because I was getting old of my username. Yes, MishyRoboto is my kind of thing. I'm going to the Grind Coffee shop tomorrow with Maddie. Then going to catch the new Austin Powers flick. Looks funny. I need comedy during the summer to keep my excitement up. To be rejuvenated once again. It's almost August! Already, it felt like I just got off of school. But once summer's over, it's back to night/day of schoolwork and homework and more homework. The good news is is that I heard mr.a is an easy science teacher. He was going too fast in math this year, rushing us all the live long day with 2 weeks of finals each class! Things that we're doing 2 years ahead of what we should be doing! Anyways, that just means math is will get EVEN harder with the other teacher. September is a busy month for me, Strathcona retreat for a week with the rest of the mini on the second week of school, then I have to learn Japanese to get ready for our trip to Japan in October. We're going to be there for 10 days which means we have to do all of our homework early. Then the Japanese students will be staying here, one at my house, and I'll be busy showing them around and doing homework at night. It's going to be a hectic 'back-to-school'. So I'm going to go now. The multimedia system in my room is really awesome! Gotta love subwoofers. Michelle added an entry at 10:58 p.m. Comments?
